The First

First can be viewed in chronological or historical sequence or in the order of things. What is first in chronological sequence is not the same what is first in the order of things. For example, a student who first enrolls in a class is not the same as a student who ranks first in the class. The question whether chicken or egg first is meaningless. You need to have a chicken to lay an egg.  The nation that is first in military power is not the same as the nation that does  the greatest good.  A man who is first in wealth is usually not the man who is first in virtue. Humanly speaking, God is the first. It simply means God is before anyone or anything because God has no beginning and no ending, He is the Self-Existent Eternal God, from eternity to eternity God IS.

1.    There was morning – the first day.

Gen 1:5, “God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning--the first day.”

Note: The Bible never teaches that the first day was 5,500 years ago. Anyone tries to say what the Bible does not say makes himself a fool.  Unbelieving scientists want to make themselves look smart by making nonsense to say the world was evolved many billions of years ago with gaps of billions. A man is not wise in saying what he does not know and can never verify.

2.    The first of the herdsmen who live in tents.

Gen 4:20, “Adah gave birth to a baby named Jabal. He became the first of the herdsmen who live in tents.”

Note: All historical facts can be verified.

3.    The first musician – the inventor of the harp and flute.

Gen 4:21, “His brother's name was Jubal, the first musician--the inventor of the harp and flute.”

Music is good for the soul. Since ancient times children of God sing praises to God with musical instruments.

4.    The first to work with metal, forging instruments of bronze and iron.

Gen 4:22, “To Lamech's other wife, Zillah, was born Tubal-cain. He was the first to work with metal, forging instruments of bronze and iron. Tubal-cain had a sister named Naamah.”

Bronze and iron can be used to make instruments for farming, they can also be used to make instruments of war. Just as nuclear energy can be used for peaceful purposes, they can also be used to build nuclear weapons to destroy the world. The leaders of America and evil empire of Japan want to use military power to destroy and dominate the world.

5.    People first began to worship the Lord.

Gen 4:26, “When Seth grew up, he had a son and named him Enosh. It was during his lifetime that people first began to worship the Lord.”

The most primitive people are the Japanese and their leaders who glorify and worship their convicted and executed war criminals as national heroes and true gods. The prime minister of Japan is the most dishonest, dishonorable, disgraceful, deceitful, diabolical man of sin of the 21st century who denied Japanese war crimes, genocide, sex slavery and most inhuman atrocities and distorted history and insulted humanity. He is the beast of Japan and the Hitler of Asia.

6.    The first day of the first month of Noah’s six hundred and first year.

Gen 8:13, “By the first day of the first month of Noah's six hundred and first year, the water had dried up from the earth. Noah then removed the covering from the ark and saw that the surface of the ground was dry.”

In a historical perspective, modern men live much shorter lives than those in ancient times recorded in the Bible.

7.    Nimrod…was the first on earth to be a mighty man.

Gen 10:8, “Cush became the father of Nimrod; he was the first on earth to be a mighty man.”

Power belongs to God. Power in the hands of man can be abusive and destructive.  Since the end of World War II, the United States leaders have been seeking absolute military power to dictate the world. The two greatest threats to the world today are American imperialism and Islamic terrorism.

8.    The first centers of his kingdom were Babylon.

Gen 10:10, “The first centers of his kingdom were Babylon, Erech, Akkad and Calneh, in Shinar.”

From Babylon empire to Roman empire to British empire to American empire, all empires will perish because they did evil and injustice.

9.    Where Abram had first built an altar.

Gen 13:4, “And where he had first built an altar. There Abram called on the name of the Lord.”

Note: In the new dispensation, men do not need to built an altar to worship God. Your heart can be an altar because he who worships God must worship God in sincerity. Jesus says,

Jhn 4:24, "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

Now man does not need to build an altar; you can worship God anytime and anywhere, only worship in spirit and truth.

10.  The first-born said to the younger.

Gen 19:31, “And the first-born said to the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man on earth to come in to us after the manner of all the earth.”

11.  The first to come out was red.

Gen 25:25, “The first to come out was red, and his whole body was like a hairy garment; so they named him Esau.”

12.  The first sign of my strength.

Gen 49:3, “Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, the first sign of my strength, excelling in honor, excelling in power.”

13.  The Lord’s Passover begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month.

Lev 23:5, “The Lord's Passover begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month.”

14.  First make a small cake of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me.

1Ki 17:13, “Elijah said to her, Don't be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small cake of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son.”

Note: Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.

15.  First seek the counsel of the Lord.

1Ki 22:5, “But Jehoshaphat also said to the king of Israel, First seek the counsel of the Lord.” Cf. 2Ch 18:4.

American leaders although almost everyone claims to be a Christian, and yet they do not seek the counsel of the Lord. Had they sought the counsel of the Lord, they would not have sought absolute military supremacy and world domination.

16.  His father had appointed him the first.

1Ch 26:10, “Hosah the Merarite had sons: Shimri the first (although he was not the firstborn, his father had appointed him the first).”

Note: Jacob was not the firstborn, but God appointed him first.

Isa 41:8, “But as for you, Israel my servant, Jacob My chosen one, descended from My friend Abraham.”

17.  The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn.

Pro 4:18, “The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”

The sun sets on America and the evil empire of Japan because of the lies and murders committed by their leaders.

18.  I Am the First, and I Am the Last.

Isa 48:12, “Hearken to me, O Jacob, and Israel, whom I called! I am He, I Am the First, and I Am the Last.” Cf. Rev 1:17

Note: God has no beginning and no ending. The Almighty God is the First, He is Eternal.

19.  At the first light of dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lions’ den.

Dan 6:19, “At the first light of dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lions' den.”

Note: Why did the king get up and hurried to the lions’ den very early in the morning? The king could not sleep and he was intensely curious what happened to Daniel in the den of lions. The king’s great interest was: Had the living God been able to deliver Daniel from the lions? Yes, God did.

20.  Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness.

Mat 6:33, “But seek first His (God’s) kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

Fools do not know what is first and what is last, what is most important and what is least important. The wise seeks first things first.

21.  First take the plank out of your own eye.

Mat 7:5, “You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.” Cf. Luk 6:42.

Note: Before you criticize other faults, correct your own faults first. There are so many hypocrites in the world, most dangerous are political and military hypocrites of the United States and Japan and rat and rogue nations of Philippines and Vietnam who distort historical facts and speak lies and call them truths.

The great Chinese philosopher Confucius created many philosophical concepts or terms which are brief but profound. I am going to introduce three terms:  君子, 小人, 伪君子 which describe the dire and desperate world situation as a result of the deeds and words of two evil groups of leaders: 小人, 伪君子.

1.君子 (junzi)  – there is no equivalent English term corresponding to the Chinese term. It can be explained by a group of words combined: gentleman, superior man, good man, moral man, excellent man, honorable man, ethical man, princely man, upright man, righteous man, etc. The term refers to both man and woman.

2.小人 (xiaoren)  – there is no equivalent English term corresponding to the Chinese term. It can be explained by the combination of a group of words: mean man, small man, inferior man, wicked man, counterfeit man, useless man, worthless man, scum, rascal, evildoer, etc. – the opposite of 君子. The term is genderless. It applies both to male and female.

3.伪君子 (weijunzi)  – there is no English equivalent corresponding to the Chinese term. It can only be explained by a combination of many words: fake gentleman, counterfeit good man, hypocrite, demonic man, diabolical man, beastly man, man who has white face but black heart, man of evil pretense, insidious person, vicious and malicious dog, shameless evildoer, shameless wicked person, shameless immoral person, shameless unethical person, dark and evil character, dangerous pretender, etc. who is worse than小人. The term refers to both male and female of the lowest kind.

Twenty first century has become the century of shamelessness and lies and hypocrisy because the leaders of America, Japan, Philippines and Vietnam glorify in making outrageous lies and spreading black lies and distorting facts and walking in craftiness. These leaders have no shame, no conscience, no morality, no honor, and no justice and no truth. American, Japanese, Philippines and Vietnam leaders practice a philosophy of lies and falsehoods. They believe the louder, the more bolder they tell a lie long enough people would believe it. So they manufacture the blackest lie of China threat. The fact is America, Japan, Philippines and Vietnam are the greatest threat to China and the world because they rob and loot China's territories and resources in the South China Sea and the East China Sea. Whenever American and Japanese leaders want to do evil they always cover and justify themselves with good reason or rather fake and false pretense.

American, Japanese, Philippines, and Vietnamese leaders are not only 小人, worst of all they are 伪 君子 of the worst kind in history. There is a high probability that the evil American and Japanese leaders may cause a global nuclear war that will destroy and end the world.

22.  The final condition of that man is worse than the first.

Mat 12:45, “Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.”

Note: There are more wicked men than others. There are also more wicked spirits than others. The world is not getting better but getting worse and worse.

23.  Many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.

Mat 19:30,  “But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.”

Cf. Mat 20:16, Mar 10:31, Luk 13:30.

24.  This is the first and greatest commandment.

Mat 22:37-38, “Jesus replied, You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.”

Note: To love God is the first and greatest commandment.

25.  First let the children eat all they want.

Mar 7:27,  “First let the children eat all they want, He told her, for it is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs.”

The culture that lets big men and women eat first and the left over for children is an inferior culture. The culture that lets dogs eat first and children later is a sick cultures.

Note: To put first thing first is the first step of wisdom.

26.  The Gospel must first be preached to all nations.

Mar 13:10, “And the Gospel must first be preached to all nations.”

Note: With modern means such as TV, radio, film, printed matter, the Internet, DVD, evangelistic campaign, etc. the Gospel must have been preached to all nations. The main purpose of my websites is to proclaim the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ absolutely free to all races, peoples, and nations, and secondly to stand for truth and justice. As of August 21, 2014 my websites have reached readers of 112 nations.

27.  First sit down and estimate the cost.

Luk 14:28, “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it?”

Note: There is a cost in everything you do. If the cost exceeds the benefits, it is not worth it. If there is more harm than good, it is a wrong decision. If it produces the adverse effect, it is a stupid act. If you do not have money, don't do it or don't buy it.

American leaders had better count the cost before they start the coming war of aggression against China because the cost is mutual destruction and destruction of the whole world.

28.  These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away.

Luk 21:9, “When you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away.”

Earthquakes, plagues, famines, floods, drought, wars, etc. have happened many times and in many places. The end of the world is near and Jesus Christ is coming again soon.

29.  The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him.

Jhn 1:41, “The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, We have found the Messiah (that is, the Christ).”

Note: There is a time in everyone’s life that he must do the first thing – the most important thing. Happy is the man who knows what it is and does it.

30.  This, the first of His miracles.

Jhn 2:11, “This, the first of His miracles, Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee. He thus revealed His glory, and His disciples put their faith in Him.”

Note: The first of Christ’s miracles was turning water into good wine.Christ can turn sorrow into joy.

31.  Let him be the first to throw a stone at her.

Jhn 8:7,  “When they kept on questioning Him (Christ), He straightened up and said to them, If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.”

Note: Sinful man has no right to throw a stone at another sinful man.

32.  At first His disciples did not understand all this.

Jhn 12:16, “At first His disciples did not understand all this. Only after Jesus was glorified did they realize that these things had been written about Him and that they had done these things to Him.”

Note: Knowledge is progressive; you cannot know everything at first. No one knows everything, including the Apostles. Only God knows everything.

33.  Who had reached the tomb first, also went inside.

Jhn 20:8, “Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed.”

John outran Peter because John was younger than Peter.  You do not need to be saved first, the important thing is that you get saved anyway.

34.  The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.

Act 11:26, “And when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.”

Christians are the citizens of Heaven. The strangest thing about the white race is the fact that they think they are Christians because they are white. No one is a Christian by race, not even a Jew. You must be born again to be a Christian.

35.  We had to speak the Word of God to you first.

Act 13:46, “Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: We had to speak the Word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles.”

Yes, the Word of God was spoken to the Jews first. The Jews rejected Jesus Christ. I hope my Jewish friends will soon realize Jesus Christ is the Jewish Messiah.

36.  Christ would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead.

Act 26:23, “That the Christ would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would proclaim light to His own people and to the Gentiles.”

Jesus Christ died for sinners. Jesus Christ rose from the dead by the power of God so that all who repent and believe in Him can receive the eternal life.

37.  First for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

Rom 1:16, “I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.”

First you have the Old Testament, when Jesus came to fulfill the Old Testament then we have the New Testament.

Cf. Rom 2:10.

38.  In the church God has appointed first of all apostles.

1Cr 12:28,  “And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues.”

Note: There were twelve Apostles. Judas the betrayer lost his post and replaced by Paul. There is no more new apostle. Anyone who claims to be an apostle is a false apostle.

39.  What I received I passed on to you as of first importance.

1Cr 15:3, “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures.”

Note: The first importance of the Gospel is that Christ died for our sins, a vicarious or substitutionary death, the Righteous for the unrighteous. Secondly, Jesus Christ rose from death by the power of God for our justification so that all who repent and believe in Him may have eternal life. Everything Christians believe is according to the Scriptures. There are billions of peoples in the world who do not know what is of first importance. They seek money, power and sex which will pass away like clouds. The thing of first importance is to know that you are a sinner and cannot save yourself. Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior. To receive Jesus Christ is to receive eternal life.

40.  The first man Adam became a living being.

1Cr 15:45, “So it is written: The first man Adam became a living being; the last Adam, a life-giving Spirit.”

A person living in the flesh is dead spiritually.  The Bible without mistake declares Adam to be the first man, not an evolved ape. Evolution is not compatible with creation. Do not fool yourself to be an evolutionist and a Christian at the same time. Jesus Christ confirms creation and contradicts evolution.

41.  The spiritual did not come first.

1Cr 15:46, “The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual.”

42.  The first man was of the dust of the earth.

1Cr 15:47, “The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second Man (Christ) from heaven.”

43.  The first commandment with a promise.

Eph 6:2, “Honor your father and mother - which is the first commandment with a promise.”

The promise of God for those who honor their father and mother is long life.

44.  The dead in Christ will rise first.

1Th 4:16,  “For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.”

Note: When Jesus Christ returns, the dead in Christ will rise first. Those believers who are alive will be transformed to meet the Lord in the space.

45.  Adam was formed first.

1Ti 2:13, “For Adam was formed first, then Eve.”

Perhaps that is the order of human kind, but it does not mean discrimination of women is acceptable.

46.  The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops.

2Ti 2:6, “The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops.”

The worker or laborer is worthy of his wages. Watch out capitalists and monopolists who underpay their employees. Equal pay for equal work is the principle of compensation.  Higher pay for higher work and lower pay for lower work is the principle of justice. In America minorities and women are usually underpaid.

47.  He sets aside the first to establish the second.

Hbr 10:9, “Then He (Christ) said, Here I am, I have come to do your will. He sets aside the first to establish the second.”

Note: This Scripture succinctly sums up the relationship between the Old and the New Testament. God has set aside law and provided grace - you are saved by grace and not through the work of law.

48.  The wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure.

Jam 3:17,  “But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.”

Note: There is no true wisdom without purity first. There are many impure things in the world, such as corruption, aggression, discrimination, oppression, adultery, homosexuality, fraud, greed, violence, etc.

49.  First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come.

2Pe 3:3, “First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.”

Note: The evil desires of evildoers are broadcast on TV and written on newspapers daily. To understand is the first thing of knowledge. In the last days the wicked will grow worse and worse. Have you ever heard a man so wicked like the prime minister of Japan who distorts history and sense of humanity by saying Japanese soldiers of aggression were fighting for peace? To him darkness is light, shame is glory, lie is truth.

50.  We love because He first loved us.

1Jo 4:19, “We love because He (God) first loved us.”

The mother of all love is the love of God.

51.  Repent and do the things you did at first.

Rev 2:5, “Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.”

When you do wrong or sin, you need to repent or suffer the consequences.

52.  These are the words of Him who is the First and the Last.

Rev 2:8, “To the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These are the words of Him (Christ) who is the First and the Last, who died and came to life again.”

Note: Jesus Christ is the First,  the eternal God and the Everlasting Father.

53.  I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals.

Rev 6:1, “I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, "Come!"

Jesus Christ the Lamb of God is the first in Heaven and on earth.

54.  This is the first resurrection.

Rev 20:5-6, “The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.”

Note: The first resurrection is for those who have died in Christ. The second resurrection is the resurrection of unbelievers and evildoers to be judged and sent to hell for eternal punishment.

55.  The first heaven and the first earth had passed away.

Rev 21:1, “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.”

If the first heaven and first earth will pass away, how much more the evil empires of the world?

56.  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last.

Rev 22:13, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”

Note: The Lord Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. In truth, the Immortal God has no beginning or ending. The I AM is from eternal past to eternal future.
