*The Father

*The enemies of truth deleted 500 words from this article.

Jesus Christ presents God as our Father. The Bible never presents God as our mother. Feminists who protray God as a mother is wrong. All who repent and believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are given the right to become God’s children. God is the Father does not mean God is male, for God is Spirit. The Bible never presents God as the Mother, therefore it is wrong to consider the Creator as goddess. Feminist theology is a wrong theology. God is Divine, it is wrong to describe God in human terms. The Bible clearly teaches the Holy Trinity - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Roman Catholic Church has taught and practiced wrong religion by calling Mary the Mother of God. The concept of the mother of God is blasphemous because it implies Mary is the wife of God and begot Jesus Christ the Son God. For Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary - a maidservant - and God became Man in the Person of Jesus Christ who came down to eath to save sinners.

Christianity is neither superstition nor science. Superstition is based on false and unfounded beliefs and fears. Science is limited by human and empirical and tentative knowledge at a time and place. Christianity is the revealed religion. Only God makes revelation of the ultimate truth and wisdom. Revelation cannot be achieved by human discovery or wisdom. Christianity is the revelation of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was God who became Man to reveal God and spiritual things to human beings.

1. The Church of Jesus Christ is the pillar of truth.

2. The Roman Catholic Church is historically false, full of heresies and wrong doctrines and superstitions.

3. Science cannot provide ultimate truth and wisdom because science at best is human tentative knowledge at a given time and place.

4. Human philosophies cannot provide ultimate truth and wisdom because they are limited human thoughts confined to limited intelligence.

5. All religions except Christianity are man-made.

6. Christianity – the revealed religion – explains and exalts the Supreme Being, Wisdom and Truth.

7. Neither science nor religion can save mankind.

8. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life – outside of Christ there is no salvation.

9. The wisdom of the living is to know the Most High rules the universe and over the realm of mankind.

10. It is of infinite truth and wisdom that human beings must submit themselves humbly to the Will of God.

1. Father of the fatherless.

Psa 68:5,“Father of the fatherless and Protector of widows is God in His holy habitation.”

Note: Father in Hebrew is 'ab which means God as father of His people, a bringer up, nourisher, one who bestows His benefits like a parent; - it occurs about 1,215 times in the Old Testament. According to NASB (New American Standard Bible) the word “father” occurs 1,309 times in the Bible. Protector in Hebrew is dayan  which means defender; - it occurs only twice in the Old Testament. The orphans of the world, do you know God can be your Father? Widows of the world, do you know God can be your Protector?

2. My Father, my God.

Psa 89:26,“He shall cry to Me: You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.”

2Cr 6:18,“I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the LORD Almighty.”

Note: God as Father is a Judeo-Christian idea. No man-made religion has such a notion. Confucius said, “Fear gods and demons and distance yourself.” All gods of man-made religions are not someone dear and near to you. Rock in Hebrew is tsuwr  which means metaphorically God the refuge and protection; - it occurs about 78 times in the Old Testament. Here is this Scripture the triune concept of God, Father and Savior is introduced. The God we worship is both our Father and Savior. For all false gods whose believers never dare to think of them as their fathers.

Psa 103:13,“As a father pities his children, so the LORD pities those who fear Him.”

Note: Pity in Hebrew is racham  which means to love, love deeply, have mercy, be compassionate, have tender affection, have compassion; - it occurs about 47 times in the Old Testament. The Lord pities those who fear Him as a father pities his children. The only way to become children of God is through faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

3. Everlasting Father.

Isa 9:6,“For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government will be on His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Note: Everlasting in Hebrew is `ad which means eternal, to endure continually and endlessly, for ever; - it occurs about 49 times in the Old Testament. Jesus Christ is Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Jesus Christ says,

Jhn 10:30,“I and the Father are One.”

Rom 3:30,“Since there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.”

Note: The circumcised refers to the Jewish people; the uncircumcised refers to the Gentiles.

Rom 5:17,“For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.”

1Cr 6:17,“But he who is joined to the Lord is one Spirit with Him.”

1Cr 8:6, “Yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.”

1Cr 12:13,“For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body— whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.”

Eph 2:18,“For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.”

Note: Man can have access to the Father only by the Spirit and through the name of Jesus Christ.

Eph 4:4-6,“There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”

1Ti 2:5,“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.”

Note: Mediator in Greek is mesitēs which means one who intervenes between two, either in order to make or restore peace and friendship; - it occurs only 6 times in the New Testament. Christ is the Mediator between God and men because He interposed by His death and restored the harmony between God and man which human sin had broken. Only Christ is the Mediator, only Christ can intervene, not Mary, not apostle, not angel, not pope, not saint, not anyone else.

1Jo 5:7,“For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are One.”

Note: Although the word “Trinity” does not exist in the Bible, the concept does. This Scriptures cited above clearly support the doctrine of Trinity. The Father, the Word (Christ), and the Holy Spirit; these three are One. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are One. Christianity is Monotheistic, not polytheistic.

4.   Heavenly Father.

Mat 6:26,“Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?”

Note: Heavenly in Greek is ouranios which means dwelling in heaven, as opposed to earthly; - it occurs only 6 times in the New Testament. Father in Greek is patēr, God is called the Father because He is the Creator of mankind and Ruler of the universe; - it occurs about 419 times in the New Testament.

Mat 6:32,“For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your Heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.”

Note: If our earthly father cares about us, how much more is our Heavenly Father.

Luk 11:13,“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?”

Note: You here means the humankind. Evil in Greek is ponēros which means bad, of a bad nature or condition, wicked; - it occurs about 76 times in the New Testament. It is most ludicrous when some crooks and criminals were caught in America, they would make a statement like this, “I am not a bad person, I just did bad thing.”  Clearly, Jesus Christ says man is evil by nature. Man is evil and yet knows how to give good gifts to his children; how much more the Heavenly Father will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him. The greatest gifts God has given to man: His Son Jesus Christ to save us from our sins, and the Holy Spirit to guide and help the children of God.

2Ti 4:18,“The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His Heavenly Kingdom; to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.”

Note: Evil used in 2 Ti 4:18 is the same original word used in Luk 11:13. Deed in Greek is ergon which means an act, thing done, enterprise, undertaking, business; - it occurs 176 times in the New Testament. The Heavenly Kingdom is the Paradise. Wall Street engages in evil business. Many corporations engage in evil enterprises such as weapons, fake drugs and contaminated food, liquor and cigarettes, etc. There are infinite numbers of evil deeds in the world, including warmongering, aggression, oppression, exploitation, discrimination, terrorism, fraud, corruption, greed, drug and human trafficking, spitting, smoking, littering, looting, robbing, raping, destroying, etc. Rescue in Greek is rhyomai which means to deliver, cause to escape; - it occurs about 18 times in the New Testament. The Lord will rescue the children of God from every evil deed, and will bring them safely to His Heavenly Kingdom.

Hbr 12:22,“But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the Heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels.”

Note: The Heavenly Jerusalem is the New Jerusalem. See Rev Chapter 21.

5. The Living Father.

Jhn 6:57,“As the Living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me.”

Note: The Living Father is the Living God. The Living God is the God of the living. Jesus Christ has the living water, Jhn 4:10

Jhn 7:37-39“On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and proclaimed: If any one thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said: Out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water. Now this He said about the Spirit, which those who believed in Him were to receive; for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.” Jesus Christ is the living bread, Jhn 6:51. Jesus Christ has the living fountains of waters, Rev 7:17. Eating the Lord’s Supper does not save anyone. But those who believe that Christ suffered and died on the cross for their sins and rose from the dead will receive eternal life.

6. Holy Father.

Jhn 17:11,“I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world. I come to You Holy Father. Keep them in Your name; the name which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are.”

Note: Holy in Greek is hagios which means sacred, worthy of veneration, hallowed, preeminently divine; - it occurs about 229 times in the New Testament. Jesus Christ calls God Holy Father. That is a name reserved for God only. No angel, apostle, human, etc. can be called Holy Father. Catholics have committed blasphemy by calling a pope Holy Father. Our Heavenly Father is Holy Father.

7. Righteous Father.

Jhn 17:25,“O Righteous Father, the world has not known You, yet I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me.”

Note: Righteous in Greek is dikaios which means in a wide sense upright, virtuous, innocent, faultless, guiltless, just, most agreeable to justice, perfectly divine; - it occurs about 81 times in the New Testament.

Rom 3:26,“It was to prove at the present time that He himself is righteous and that He is the Justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.”

1Jo 1:9,“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Note: When Christians sin, we must repent and confess our sins to God, and God will forgive us our sins, and the precious blood of Jesus Christ will cleanse us for all unrighteousness.

1Jo 2:1,“My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.”

Note: Advocate in Greek is paraklētos  which means one who pleads another's cause with one, an intercessor, of Christ in His exaltation at God's right hand, pleading with God the Father for the pardon of our sins; - it occurs only 5 times in the New Testament.

1Jo 2:29,“If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone also who practices righteousness is born of Him.”

8. Father.

Mat 11:25-26,“At that time Jesus answered and said: I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight.”

Note: The Holy One whom Jesus Christ calls Father is the Lord of heaven and earth. Lord in Greek is kyrios which means the ruler of the universe; - it occurs 748 times in the New Testament.

Mat 23:9,“Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.”

Note: Catholics violate the commandment of our Lord because they call their theologians and priests fathers.

Mar 14:36,“And He said: Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.”

Note: Abba in Aramaic is abba which means father, customary title used of God in prayer, through frequent use in prayer, gradually acquired the nature of a most sacred proper name of God; - it occurs only 3 times in the New Testament. Jesus Christ used Abba in His communication with God.

Jhn 5:18, “For this reason therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.”

Note: Equal in Greek is isos which means equal in quantity and quality; - it occurs only 8 times in the New Testament. Jesus Christ claimed for Himself the nature, rank, and authority which belong to God. The reason that the Jews were seeking to kill Jesus was that He was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God. So many false prophets and false teachers said that Jesus never claimed to be God is totally ignorant and false.

9. The Father.

Mat 28:19,“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

Note: Here is another Scripture which teaches the doctrine of Trinity, disciples and servants of Christ are supposed to baptize new believers in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Name in Greek is onoma which occurs about 229 times in the New Testament. Notice the word “name” is in singular. The Triune God is One. The name of God stands for the divinity, dignity, majesty and authority of God.

Mar 13:32,“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

Note: When Jesus Christ made this statement, He was in His humble state on earth, before the Resurrection. After the Resurrection Jesus Christ said,

Mat 28:18,“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying: All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.”

Note: Authority in Greek is exousia which means the power of authority (influence) and of right (privilege), power to decide, divine authority granted to Jesus as Messiah, delegated authority; - it occurs about 103 times in the New Testament. The resurrected Lord has all the power, knowledge, wisdom, honor, glory, majesty given to Him in heaven and on earth. For this reason, Jesus Christ also knows of that day and hour. In addition, Jesus Christ says, Rev 22:20,“He who testifies to these things says: Surely I am coming quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!” Since the Lord Jesus says He is coming quickly, He must know that day and hour precisely.

1Cr 1:24,“But to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.” Power in Greek is dynamis which means inherent power, divine power; - it occurs about 120 times in the New Testament. Wisdom in Greek is sophia which means supreme intelligence such as belongs to God, the treasures of divine wisdom hidden in Christ, the wisdom of God as evinced in forming and executing God’s counsels, the wisdom of God which is operative and embodied in Jesus Christ; - it occurs about 51 times in the New Testament. Jesus Christ is fullest the power of God and the wisdom of God.

1Cr 8:6,“Yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.”

Phl 2:9,“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name.”

Note: Highly exalt in Greek is hyperypsoō which means to exalt to the highest rank and power, raise to supreme majesty, extol most highly; - it occurs only once in the New Testament.

Jhn 1:14,“And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Jhn 1:18,“No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.”

Jhn 3:35,“The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand.”

Jhn 4:21,“Jesus said to her: Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father.”

Jhn 4:23,“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.”

Jhn 5:19-23,“Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them: Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner. For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself is doing; and the Father will show Him greater works than these, so that you will marvel. For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son also gives life to whom He wishes. For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son, so that all will honor the Son even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.”

Note: There is an evil religion that purports to honor God but does not honor the Son. The false religion does not honor God and does not know the Father at all. If you honor Jesus Christ, you honor God. If you do not honor Jesus Christ, you do not honor God.

Jhn 5:26,“For just as the Father has life in Himself, even so He gave to the Son also to have life in Himself.”

Note: God has life in Himself, He is the Self-Existent Eternal One. Jesus Christ has life in Himself, He is the Everlasting Father.

Jhn 5:36-37,“But the testimony which I have is greater than the testimony of John; for the works which the Father has given Me to accomplish—the very works that I do—testify about Me, that the Father has sent Me. And the Father who sent Me, He has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time nor seen His form.”

Jhn 5:43,“I have come in My Father's name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, you will receive him.”

Note: The human nature is so depraved, people will not receive Christ even He has come in God’s name. Many false prophets and false teachers come in the devil’s name, and yet people follow them.

Jhn 6:46,“Not that anyone has seen the Father, except the One who is from God; He has seen the Father.”

Jhn 10:17,“For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life so that I may take it again.”

Jhn 10:30,“I and the Father are One.”

Note: Jesus and the Father are One. No angel, no prophet, no apostle, not anyone can say that.

Jhn 10:38,“But if I do them, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father.”

Note: This is the godly mystery, the Father is in the Son, and the Son is in the Father; the Father and the Son are One.

Jhn 12:26,“If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.”

Note: No one can serve Christ in his own way. All who serve Christ must follow Christ.

Jhn 13:1,“Now before the Feast of the Passover, Jesus knowing that His hour had come that He would depart out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.”

Note: The smartest scientists do not know their hour of death. Jesus Christ knows who are His own, and He loves them to the end.

Jhn 14:6,“Jesus said to him: I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”

Note: Jesus Christ is the only way to God; all other ways of man-made religions are useless. You can come to God only through Jesus Christ. There is no other.

Jhn 14:9,“Jesus said to him: Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say: Show us the Father?”

Jhn 15:26,“When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me.”

Note: Jesus Christ teaches the doctrine of Trinity – the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. The work of the Spirit on earth is to testify the truth about Jesus Christ and lead believers into all truth.

Jhn 16:28,“I came forth from the Father and have come into the world; I am leaving the world again and going to the Father.”

Note: Jesus Christ came forth from the Father and came into the world means the Incarnation (God became Man). Jesus Christ left the world and went to the Father means Ascension and Exaltation.

Jhn 20:17,“Jesus said to her: Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brethren and say to them: I ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God."

Note: The Resurrected Christ has made His Father our Father, and His God our God.

Rom 6:4,“Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.”

10. Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Rom 15:6,“So that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Note: The Holy One is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and He is also the God and Father of Christians. One accord and one voice characterize believers of all nations in glorifying God and Father.

2Cr 1:3,“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort.”

2Cr 11:31,“The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying.”

Eph 1:3,“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.”

Note: Spiritual blessing is higher than material blessing. The spiritual blessings are existing in the heavens, not on earth. Spiritual blessings are from above, not from below. Something is wrong with anyone who seeks material blessings as a motive of becoming Christians. This is the core problem of prosperity gospel and prosperity gospel preachers.

Eph 3:14,“For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Col 1:3,“We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you.”

1Pe 1:3,“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

11. The Father of mercies.

2Cr 1:3,“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort.”

Note: Mercy in Greek is oiktirmos  which means inward feeling of compassion, pity: - it occurs only 5 times in the New Testament. Comfort in Greek is paraklēsis which means consolation, solace; - it occurs about 29 times in the New Testament. God of all comfort means God is the author and bestower of comfort.

1Ch 21:13,“David said to Gad: I am in great distress; please let me fall into the hand of the LORD, for His mercies are very great. But do not let me fall into the hand of man.” When God was going to punish David, David would rather fall into the hand of the Lord because His mercies are very great. David did not want to fall in the hand of man.

Psa 6:4,“Return, O LORD, deliver me! Oh, save me for Your mercies' sake!”

Note: God does not save us because we deserve anything; God saves us for His mercies’sake.

Psa 25:6,“Remember, O LORD, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses, for they are from of old.”

Note: Tender mercy in Hebrew is racham which means pity, grace, favor, compassion of God; - it occurs about 44 times in the Old Testament.

12. The Father of glory.

Eph 1:17,“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.”

Note: Glory in Greek is doxa  which means splendor, brightness, magnificence, excellence, preeminence, dignity, grace, majesty in the sense of the absolute perfection of the deity, the majesty of God as exhibited in deeds of power; - it occurs about 168 times in the New Testament. Revelation in Greek is apokalypsis which means uncovering, laying bare, making naked, disclosure of truth or divine things before unknown; - it occurs about 18 times in the New Testament. Christianity is the revealed religion through the revelation of Jesus Christ. All other religions are man-made by imagination or speculation. Unbelieving and arrogant scientists otherwise intelligent, but they do not have knowledge of God because they do not have the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in them. An uneducated and illiterate peasant who has been saved can have knowledge of God because the Father of glory has given him the Spirit of Wisdom. No one can discover God through his own wisdom; he needs God to reveal Himself.

13. The Father of spirits.

Hbr 12:9,“Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live?”

Note: Spirit in Greek is pneuma which means a spirit higher than man but lower than God, i.e. an angel; - it occurs about 385 times in the New Testament. Spirit usually refers to the Holy Spirit, the third person of the triune God. In this Scripture, spirits mean angels. Christians are subject to the Father of spirits.

14. The Father of lights.

Jam 1:17,“Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.”

Note: Light in Greek is phōs which means God is light because light has the extremely pure and brilliant quality that dispels darkness; - it occurs 70 times in the New Testament. Why lights in plural? Angels are also lights. Sun, moon and stars also give lights.

Phl 2:15, “That you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.” Children of God shine as lights in the world.

15. Our God and Father.

Gal 1:4,“Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father.”

Note: This present age is evil, in the last days are full of dangers.

Phl 4:20,“Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.”

1Th 1:3,“Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father.”

1Th 3:13,“So that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.”

Note: Jesus Christ is coming with His saints: those who are asleep (dead in Christ) will rise first and have glorious and spiritual bodies, and those who are alive on earth will be transformed to meet the Lord in the space. The Lord coming to earth with His mighty angels, apostles and saints in glory will be the greatest parade in the universe.

2Th 2:16,“Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace.”

Note: The Kingdom of heaven is our everlasting consolation. Good hope because it is sure hope, the hope of glory and immortality.

16.   God our Father.

Rom 1:7,“To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

1 Cr 1:13, “Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Phl 1:2,“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Col 1:2,“To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are in Colosse: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

1Th 1:1,“PAUL, Silvanus, and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

2Th 1:1,“PAUL, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

2Th 1:2,“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Note: The Scriptures emphasize that grace and peace come from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible never presents God as our mother. Feminist gospel presents God as our mother is a false gospel.

17.   God and Father.

Col 1:3,“We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you.”

18. Your Father.

Mat 5:16,“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

Note: “Your Father” means the Father of Jesus’ disciples. If you are an unbeliever, God is not your Father.

Mat 5:45,“So that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”

Note: Although the sun to rise and the rain to fall are natural phenomena, God causes them. God controls the universe.

Mat 6:1,“Beware that you do not practice your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven.”

Mat 6:4,“So that your giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.”

Note: American foundations are set up for tax-exempt purposes and for reputation and glorification of their founders. Children of God must give in secret. American church members are mistaken in thinking when they give to the church they offer to God. They give to the church to have tax deductions as financial benefits.

Mat 6:6,“But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.”

Mat 6:8,“So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.”

Mat 6:15,“But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.”

Mat 6:18,“So that your fasting will not be noticed by men, but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.”

Mat 7:11,“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!”

Note: Jesus Christ says man is evil. Do not claim or pretend that you are good. Stop doing evil deeds.

Mat 10:20,“For it is not you who speak, but it is the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.”

Note: The secret of effective preaching is to have the Spirit of God who speaks in the preacher.

Mat 10:29,“Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.”

Mat 18:14,“So it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones perish.”

Mat 23:9,“Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.”

Mar 11:25,“Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions.”

Mar 11:26,“But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your transgressions.”

Luk 6:36,“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.”

Note: It is impossible for a child of God to be a warmonger, a cruel dictator, a terrorist, a rapist, a robber, a killer, a destroyer, etc. because God is merciful. The children of God are also merciful.

Luk 12:30,“For all these things the nations of the world eagerly seek; but your Father knows that you need these things.”

Luk 12:32,“Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the Kingdom.”

Note: Flock in Greek is poimnion which means a flock of sheep, a group of Christ's disciples; - it occurs only 5 times in the New Testament. Little flock is a term of endearment, signifying a small group of people chosen by God to follow Jesus Christ and to receive the Kingdom.

Jhn 8:42,“Jesus said to them: If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and have come from God, for I have not even come on My own initiative, but He sent Me.”

Note: If God is your Father, you would love Jesus. If you do not love Jesus because God is not your Father.

19.  My Father.

Mat 7:21,“Not everyone who says to Me: Lord, Lord, will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.”

Note: My Father here means the Father of Jesus Christ. I believe and somehow feel there are truths hidden in what Jesus said about “Your Father” and “My Father.” It is both a contrast and an emphasis. To dig deep in the Scriptures is to make textual and contextual comparisons and view them in the light of each background situation. May the Spirit of God enlighten us to know why Jesus made statements, sometimes He said to His disciples “Your Father” and other times “My Father.” The will of God is supreme; the supreme duty of believers is to do the will of God.

Mat 10:32-33,“Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.”

Note: Confessing Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior before men is so important because Jesus Christ will confess us before His Father who is in heaven. Denial of Jesus Christ is eternal death.

Mat 11:27,“All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.”

Note: No one can know the Son unless the Father reveals to him. No one can know the Father unless the Son reveals Him. The Holy Spirit reveals to believers both the Father and the Son.

Mat 12:50,“For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother.”

Note: Those who do the will of God are especially close to Jesus Christ.

Mat 16:17,“And Jesus said to him: Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.”

Note: No flesh and blood can reveal the way of salvation. The Gospel of Jesus Christ was revealed by God before the foundation of the world.

Mat 18:10,“See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of My Father who is in heaven.”

Note: Do not despise little children, our Heavenly Father cares for them.

Mat 18:19,“Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.”

Mat 20:23,“He said to them: My cup you shall drink; but to sit on My right and on My left, this is not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared by My Father.”

Note: To sit on the right and left of Jesus Christ in heaven are for those God has prepared. Do not seek honor or glory for yourself.

Mat 25:34,“Then the King will say to those on His right: Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”

Note: To be blessed of the Father is a billion times better than to receive any prize or honor or award or a state dinner. Oh poor Christians in the world, you are going to inherit the Kingdom which the richest and most powerful people on earth do not have.

Mat 26:29,But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's Kingdom.”

Note: All kingdoms of the world are in a mess and full of problems, even the sole superpower is miserable and pitiful as it is sank deed in deficits and debts; but the Kingdom of God is most glorious.

Mat 26:39,“And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying: My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.”

Note: It is impossible to go against the will of God.

Mat 26:42,“He went away again a second time and prayed, saying: My Father, if this cannot pass away unless I drink it, Your will be done.”

Note: To drink the cup of sorrow is to do the will of God.

Mat 26:53,“Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?”

Note: Legion in Greek is legiōn which means a body of soldiers consisted of 6,826 men (i.e. 6,100 foot soldiers, and 726 horsemen); - it occurs only 4 times in the New Testament. So 12 legions of angels will be 81,912 angels. Do you know what a single mighty angel can do? Twelve legions of angels may be more than enough to wipe out the whole Roman Empire!

Luk 2:49,“And He said to them: Why is it that you were looking for Me? Did you not know that I had to be in My Father's house?”

Luk 10:22,“All things have been handed over to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.”

Luk 22:29-30,“Just as My Father has bestowed upon Me a Kingdom, so I bestow one upon you, that you may eat and drink at My table in My Kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”

Note: To eat and drink at Christ’s table in His Kingdom is far, far better than to have state dinner, royal dinner, or the largest and most expensive banquet in the world.

Luk 24:49,“And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are armed with power from on high.”

Note: Arm with in Greek is endyō which means to have on, put on, clothe with, furnish with, endue with, adorn with; - it occurs about 29 times in the New Testament. To preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, one needs to be armed with power from on high. The Holy Spirit is the power from on high. There are so many useless preachers today because they do not have power from on high. Churches do not have power from on high so they try to attract audience by employing secular programming with music and entertainment.

Jhn 2:16,“And to those who were selling the doves He said: Take these things away; stop making My Father's house a market house.”

Note: Prosperity gospel preachers and many megachurches have made the church a place of business, a mart, a profit center.

Jhn 5:17,“But He answered them: My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working.”

Jhn 6:32,“Jesus then said to them: Truly, truly, I say to you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread out of heaven, but it is My Father who gives you the true bread out of heaven.”

Jhn 6:40,“For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”

Note: You violate the will of God by refusing to believe in Jesus Christ.

The last day means the day Jesus Christ returns. When Christ returns He will raise the dead saints.

Jhn 8:19,“So they were saying to Him: Where is Your Father? Jesus answered: You know neither Me nor My Father; if you knew Me, you would know My Father also.”

Note: To know Jesus Christ is to know God, for Jesus Christ is God.

Jhn 14:2,“In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.”

Note: Heaven is God’s house. Jesus has prepared many mansions for His followers.

Jhn 14:20,“In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.”

Note: In that glorious day when Jesus Christ returns to reign, believers will know that the Son (Christ) is in His Father, and believers are in Christ, and Christ is in believers – the perfect unity and harmony.

Jhn 14:21,23,“He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him... Jesus answered and said to him: If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him.”

Note: Jesus Christ defines love by obedience. If you love Christ you will keep His commandments. If you love Christ you will keep His word.

Rev 3:5,“He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.”

Note: Overcome in Greek is nikaō which means to conquer, carry off the victory, come off victorious; - it occurs about 28 times in the New Testament. For Christians to overcome is to hold fast their faith even unto death against the power of their foes, and their temptations and persecutions. Christians are to overcome self, the world, and the evil one.

Rev 3:21,“He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.”

Note: To sit down with the King of kings and the Lord of lords on His throne is the ultimate glory.

20. Your Heavenly Father.

Mat 5:48,“Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”

Mat 6:14,“For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”

Mat 6:26,“Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?”

Mat 6:32,“For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.”

Note: The Gentiles means the peoples of the world eagerly seek what to wear, what to eat, what kind of house to live, and what kind of car to ride or drive. Clothing, food, housing, and transportation occupy main concerns of worldly men and women. The rich drive up the prices of houses so that ordinary people cannot afford them.

Luk 11:13“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?”

21. God the Father.

1Pe 1:2,“Chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father and sanctification by the Spirit for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood: May grace and peace be multiplied to you.”

Note: Chosen in Greek is electors which means picked out, elected, selected; - it occurs about 23 times in the New Testament. Foreknowledge in Greek is prognōsis which means forethought, pre-arrangement; - it occurs only twice in the New Testament. Sanctification in Greek is hagiasmos which means consecration, purification, sanctification of heart and life, sanctification wrought by the Holy Spirit; - it occurs only 10 times in the New Testament. Obedience in Greek is hypakoē which means submission, compliance, submitting oneself to; - it occurs about 15 times in the New Testament. The triune God plays the role in saving the mankind. Chosen and predestined by God, sanctified by the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ. You do not know how wonderful to have God as your Heavenly Father. I can testify to countless blessings that God has bestowed upon me. I would not trade it for the richest man on earth.

Jhn 15:16,“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”

Eph 1:4,“Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.”

2Th 2:13,“But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.”

Note: Salvation means to be redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, through sanctification by the Holy Spirit, and belief in the truth.

1Pe 1:3,“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By His great mercy we have been born anew to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

Gal 1:1,“PAUL, an apostle not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised Him from the dead.”

Eph 5:20,“Giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Phl 2:11,“And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Col 3:17,“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

1Cr 15:24,“Then comes the end, when He delivers the Kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.”

Note: Jesus Christ is coming to put an end to all rule and all authority and power (imperialists and supremacists and hegemonists and terrorists will be finished) and when the end comes,

He delivers the Kingdom to God the Father.
