Matthew Chapter 5: 1-12
When Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain; and after He sat down, His disciples came to Him. He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Mat 5:1, the word come in Greek is proserchomai which means to approach, draw near to; - it occurs 94 times in the New Testament.
Come in Chinese is 來 which has an etymological meaning as follows:
十字架 十（cross），人 （man）。
Jesus was crucified on the cross, there was a little man (thief) on the left and a little man on the right (robber). In the center there was a big Man (Jesus).
Jesus Christ was crucified and died on the cross for sinners, this was an invitation of God to man:
Isa 1:18,“Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the LORD,“Though your sins are as scarlet,
They will be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They will be like wool.”
Mat 18:11,“For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.”
Sinners are lost, lost in sin, lost by separation from God.
Mat 11:28, “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.”
Sins make people weary and heavy-laden. There are no people no matter who they are who are not weary and heavy-laden. The love of money, power and sex make people weary and heavy-laden. Human beings are burdened by sins and troubles of the world.
Since the end of World War II, American leaders have been war makers, not peace makers; they have incited and instigated hundreds of unjust wars and bloody military interventions which had killed millions and millions of innocent peoples around the world. They have been proven liars and killers. Jesus Christ defines liars and killers as children of the devil.
Japanese leaders are trouble makers and they shamelessly distort historical facts by denying their war crimes, genocide and sex slavery and unprecedented atrocities. The evil prime minister of Japan is the beast of Japan, the Hitler of Asia, the shameless, senseless and shoddiest man of sin who has no sense of history, no sense of humanity, and so sense of justice.
Jhn 6:37-38, “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.”
Mat 5:2, to teach in Greek is didaskō which means to hold discourse with others in order to instruct them, deliver didactic discourses, to impart instruction, instill doctrine into one, to explain or expound a thing; - it occurs 97 times in the New Testament.
Luk 4:35-36,“But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet and come out of him!” And when the demon had thrown him down in the midst of the people, he came out of him without doing him any harm. And amazement came upon them all, and they began talking with one another saying, “What is this message? For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits and they come out.”
Mat 5:3, blessed in Greek is makarios which means happy; - it occurs 50 times in the New Testament. The poor in spirit are those who are humble and repent of their sins and come to the Savior for mercy.
Mat 5:4, the word mourn in Greek is pentheō which means to lament, feel sad and sorrowful, grieve, feel or express sorrow; - it occurs 10 times in the New Testament. The word comfort in Greek is parakaleō which means to console, to encourage and strengthen by consolation, to receive consolation, to encourage and strengthen by consolation; - it occurs 111 times in the New Testament. Those who are poor and oppressed in the world, although they mourn now, they will be comforted in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Mat 5:6, those who hunger and thirst for righteousness will be satisfied. Warmongers, imperialists, supremacists, militarists, monopolists and terrorists hunger and thirst for money, power and sex. They will all perish and vanish soon.
Mat 5:7, the word merciful in Greek is eleēmōn which means full of compassion, having or showing mercy; - it occurs only twice in the New Testament. Warmongers, militarists, aggressors, oppressors, capitalists, monopolists and terrorists have no mercy, and they will not receive mercy from God. The evil Japanese leaders and officials not only they have no mercy, they even denied the war crimes, genocide and atrocities and brutalities they had committed in World War II, and glorify and worship their convicted and executed war criminals enshrined as national heroes and true gods.
Mat 5:8, pure in Greek is katharos which means clean, purified, free from corrupt desire, from sin and guilt, blameless, innocent, unstained with the guilt of anything; - it occurs 26 times in the New Testament. God is holy, only the pure in heart will see God. When you watch the words and deeds of Western warmongers and aggressors and devious Japanese and Filipino leaders, you can only see filthy and devious and malicious in heart.
Mat 5:9, peacemaker in Greek is eirēnopoios which means a person loving peace, a person who makes peace; - it occurs only once in the New Testament. Without doubt, war makers, warmongers, troublemakers, bullies, aggressors, oppressors, dictators, liars, murderers, etc. are children of the devil. Peacemakers are sons of God. Western and Japanese warmongers threaten to attack China in order to rob China's territories and loot China's resources in the South China Sea and the East China Sea and target other nations that do not make alliance with them.
Mat 5:10, to suffer persecution in Greek is diōkō which means to make to run or flee, put to flight, drive away; to be pursued in a hostile manner; to harass, trouble, molest one; to be mistreated, suffer persecution on account of something; - it occurs 47 times in the New Testament. Happy are those who suffer persecution for the sake of righteousness because the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them. Warmongers and aggressors and oppressors have no part in the Kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:11, to revile in Greek is oneidizō which means to reproach, upbraid; - it occurs 11 times in the New Testament. The righteous shall be reviled, persecuted and evildoers will say all kinds of bad things against them. For the same reason, the enemies of truth attack my websites. The wicked may even get a Nobel Peace Prize. American and Japanese liars and killers spread rumor of China's threat.
Mat 5:12, those who persecuted the prophets, their descendants will persecute the righteous today. The righteous should rejoice for their rewards are great in heaven. No one can earn salvation of God for it is the gift of God in Jesus Christ. Christians can earn rewards by sharing the sufferings of Christ on earth.
